ADA 2024: Salvatori and Patricia Urquiola collaboration is a winner
Salvatori wins for the iconic bathtub from “The Small Hours” collection, designed by Patricia Urquiola
Archiproducts Design Awards 2024 brings success for Salvatori
On 14 October, the 2024 Archiproducts Design Awards welcomed some of the leading international design names for a ceremony that not only celebrates design excellence but also innovation and quality when it comes to materials.
We were delighted to be invited to the stage on such an auspicious occasion and be recognised for our commitment to finding that perfect synergy between craftmanship and creative vision.
2024 is represented by Verde Guatemala marble
The Archiproducts Design Awards trophy, designed by Michael Anastassiades, is presented in a new stone each year and once again, Salvatori was entrusted with the task of crafting this beautiful prize.
For the 2024 edition, the iconic monolithic prism was produced in Verde Guatemala, a glorious vibrant green marble. An intense background is streaked with white veins, creating a dramatic, yet elegant effect.
The clean lines of the award combine with the vivid, cool green hues to evoke both strength and tranquillity, while the smooth, almost velvety feel of the surface invites contemplation, as though it were an amulet.
“The Small Hours” bathtub wins
The evening saw Salvatori named a winner in the Bathroom category with our bathtub from “The Small Hours”, the extraordinary collection designed by Patricia Urquiola. Presented at Salone del Mobile earlier this year, it comprises a series of pieces that redefine the bathroom space, creating an intimate sanctuary through the artful fusion of form, materials and colours.
The circular bathtub’s innovative design pairs a marble exterior with stainless steel interior, transforming a functional bathroom item into a sophisticated work of art.
The collection is based on the contrast of natural, metamorphic marble and smooth, manmade steel. The result is a series of pieces that combine stone’s timeless elegance with the modernity of steel, offering innovative bathroom solutions.
The award won by “The Small Hours” is not only a tribute to its innovative design and striking aesthetic, but is also a celebration of Salvatori’s vison of redefining bathroom décor. We are passionate about creating spaces that are not only functional but also beautiful and applying a contemporary design approach to the extraordinary natural beauty of stone is where it all begins.
In partnership with Patricia Urquiola
The name “The Small Hours” refers to the rarified atmosphere that accompanies dawn, that intimate moment just before the world begins to awaken.
Designer Patricia Urquiola’s idea was that every element in the collection should reflect that sensation of calm and concentration, transforming the bathroom from a simple functional room into a personal haven of wellbeing.
The aim of “The Small Hours” is to elevate the bathroom beyond its daily usage to become a soothing, serene space where, upon entering it as you start your day, you find yourself immersed in an atmosphere that nourishes both body and soul.
The collection epitomises the perfect artistic and professional synergy between Salvatori and the Spanish designer that has already proven a winning formula in earlier collaborations, including the Taula table collection.
A more sustainable and innovative future
Our win at the 2024 Archiproducts Design Awards further motivates us to continue to push the boundaries and promote our vision of sustainable design. The choice of Verde Guatemala for the 2024 award reflects not only the importance of nature but also our desire to reinterpret it through the language of design.
The 2024 Archiproducts Design Awards evening concluded with a celebration of ideas, talent and creativity. For Salvatori, it was an honour to once again be recognised as a leader of the international design scene and to be able to showcase the power of natural stone.
