The winners of the Archiproducts Design Awards 2022 are announced
The 2022 ADA event saw the winners receive a stylish trophy in Gris du Marais®, a Salvatori-exclusive marble
The Archiproducts Design Awards marks it seventh edition
The evening of 24 November saw the seventh edition of the Archiproducts Design Awards held, with a spectacular event in Milan showcasing design excellence.
As always, it was also a wonderful opportunity to catch up friends from the sector and applaud the outstanding examples of innovation. We were delighted to take to the stage to accept an award for our Spaghetti tapware range, designed by Elisa Ossino.
ADA is always an important event for us because we are involved in creating the physical award the winners take home. This year, we chose to create it in our beautiful and unusual brown-grey Gris du Marais® marble.
But, let’s take things one at a time.
Our Spaghetti tapware range is named a winner
The Archiproducts Design Awards party is always a date in the diary for architects, designers and artists from the world over. As we described in our recap of the 2021 ceremony, it is a unique occasion to rub shoulders with leading names from the sectors and bounce ideas off each other that inevitably spark yet more new designs.
And of course, it is also the chance to recognise achievements, and this year, our Spaghetti tapware collection by Elisa Ossino was among the winners. The combination of an ultra-slim cartridge and a fusion of metal and stone that allows the taps to almost blend into the background makes for a revolutionary product in the tapware category.
Archiproducts Design Awards 2022
Now in their seventh year, the Archiproducts Design Awards continue to impress and it is always a pleasure to attend the ceremony and see the best of the latest collaborations between brands and designers awarded for their originality, innovation and research. Whether through the use of revolutionary forms, functions or materials, every product chosen by the jury elicited emotion yet was also practical.
You can view the full list of winners here. This year, in addition to brand and designer categories, the area of sustainability was recognised. Like Salvatori, Archiproducts believes in the power of design as a means of promoting key themes that are crucial to wider society, and it is no secret that with the dramatic change in climate and dwindling natural resources, looking after the environment is more important than ever.
Spotlight on this year’s stone, Gris du Marais®
Our involvement with ADA continues in other ways. As in previous years, we produced the monolithic trophy designed by Michael Anastassiades which is presented to winners in the product category.
Every year we choose a different stone and this year it was Gris du Marais®, an elegant marble exclusive to Salvatori. With hues that hover between warm grey and light brown and a myriad of delicate veins and restrained splashes of colour, its dappled surface is an intriguing and sophisticated example of natural stone.
Somewhat unconventional and highly distinctive, it is the perfect choice to recognise products and designers that are far from ordinary and banal.
From interior design schemes to designer furniture to small works of art like the ADA trophy, we love coming up with innovative solutions and exploring unexpected ways to work with natural stone. We invite you to get in touch and organise a complimentary consultation so that we can help you create your dream décor.
