Salvatori makes a splash in the tapware world with the Spaghetti collection
Innovative, minimal and, of course, stylish. Presenting Spaghetti, the first full tapware collection by Salvatori
Salvatori enters the world of bathroom fittings with Spaghetti, its first complete tapware collection
Salvatori presents the brand’s first complete tapware collection with Spaghetti, designed by Elisa Ossino. Comprising taps and mixers for basins, showers, bathtubs and bidets, along with shower fittings, it represents a fresh and innovative approach.
Salvatori’s first foray into the world of tapware came some years ago in the form of Fontane Bianche, produced in partnership with Fantini and also designed by Elisa Ossino. Spaghetti, however, is a more comprehensive collection. Finished in PVD gunmetal coating, with handles in the exclusive Spaghetti texture, the result is an exceptionally clean, uninterrupted design and effect.
So, just what makes our Spaghetti tapware so special?
The Salvatori aesthetic
Elisa Ossino applies her trademark light touch, bringing natural stone and metal together in elegant contemporary harmony. No detail has been left to chance, with a level of precision usually found in high-end watchmaking evident in elements such as the Spaghetti textured ribbing that encases the handle.
Natural stone combines with the sophisticated gunmetal finish, either in the form of a circular insert on the handle or a plaque around the base of the showerhead. These flourishes can be customised, allowing clients to choose the same stone as that used on the wall, so that the handle is scarcely visible, thus taking the Salvatori Total Look concept to another level. And, for those who want an alternative to stone, the disc can be substituted by a metal insert to blend in with the fitting.
Spaghetti tapware is another example of how every single detail contributes to creating a harmonious space and is destined to quickly become a must-have accessory for lovers of the Salvatori philosophy of understated luxury.
A 20-mm cartridge: revolutionising tapware
As we so often point out, innovation is in our DNA and it is most definitely not lacking in presence in the Spaghetti collection. Our objective was to create elegant, timeless tapware components that would combine effortlessly with Salvatori bathroom collections.
We developed an incredibly slim cartridge with a diameter of just 20 mm for the single-mixer deck-mounted and bidet, representing a first in the sector.
Other innovations concern the wall-mounted shower, basin and bathtub taps which use “easy fit” technology. This essentially allows the piece to be installed flush with the surface for a minimal, discreet look.
Each piece is coated in an elegant gunmetal colour using PVD, an eco-friendly technology that is replacing finishes such as paint and chrome. Short for Physical Vapour Deposition, this technique vaporises metals in a vacuum chamber where they are condensed and transformed into a thin, sleek and even colour finish that is more resistant than traditional coatings.
If you would like to discover this groundbreaking new collection in person, you can do so during Milan Design Week. Our via Solferino showroom will be open from 7 to 12 June. With not just Spaghetti but a host of other design delights to whet your appetite.
