A delicate fusion of fluted glass and stone
When it comes to providing the finishing touches to a home, sometimes there is no need to look further than nature. A simple bunch of roses or tulips, an artful floral composition or a handful of freshly-cut wildflowers add freshness and beauty, and some might argue that they need no further adornment. So, when it comes to the container that holds them, what better solution than another material created by nature?
The Pietra L13 is an original and striking vase with a base in natural stone in a choice of classic white Bianco Carrara, the dark brown tones of Pietra d’Avola and a glorious forest green Verde Alpi marble, further emphasising the link with nature’s flora.
Snugly nestled inside each base is a vase in fluted smoke-coloured glass, handblown then finished by hand by skilled craftsmen. Each piece is absolutely unique, not only for the stone containing thousands of years of history, but also due to the tiny irregularities of form and variations in thickness of the glass, testament to the painstaking work by artisans, rather than machines.
Available in three different forms, the vases are part of Piero Lissoni’s distinctive Pietra L collection in which he transforms everyday items into stylish, original pieces of functional design.
