In compliance with articles 13 and 14 of the EU General Data Protection Regulations 2016/679 (which we refer to in this document simply as Regulations), we adhere to certain rules for the collection and processing of personal data by the Data Controller during the selection and hiring of candidates for open positions and internships.
1. Identity and contact details of the Data Controller
The Data Controller is Alfredo Salvatori S.r.l., head office address: Via Aurelia n. 395/E, Querceta, LU, Italy, P.IVA 01748630462 (referred to in this document as “Data Controller” or “Salvatori”).
2. Types of personal data
The type of data we may collect may fall into the following categories:
• Key personal details, ie name, surname, date and place of birth;
• Contact details, ie email address, telephone number, home address;
• Information relating to your professional experience;
• Information regarding your academic achievements.
We will not collect any data that is not strictly necessary for the objectives described in this document. We ask you NOT to share any details relating to particular categories (as outlined in Article 9 of the Regulations, including but not limited to your state of health, racial or ethnic origins, union membership and so on) unless you believe they are necessary to help us evaluate your suitability for a position or internship. If you choose to provide such information, you are automatically consenting to it being processed in line with the purposes outlined below.
Your personal data may be communicated to Salvatori directly by you or through an intermediary channel, duly nominated as responsibly for processing such information (for example recruitment agencies or LinkedIn).
3. The purpose for collecting and processing your data
We collect and use your data as part of our procedure for receiving and evaluating candidates for roles and internships within Salvatori and, where an application is successful, for completing the hiring process or placing you as an intern within our company.
4. The legal basis for collecting and processing your data
The legal basis for handling such details is covered under Article 6, paragraph 1b) of the regulations (“processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract”).
With reference to data pertaining to your state of health, membership of any union or other data belonging to particular categories, the legal basis is set out in Article 9, paragraph 2a), which states: “the data subject has given explicit consent to the processing of such personal data for one or more specified purposes”.
In accordance with Article 17 of the Regulations, you may withdraw your consent whenever you wish by means of the same method you previously gave it. If you choose to do this, it does not compromise the lawfulness of any processing carried out before such withdrawal.
5. How your data may be handled
Your details may be handled via digital and paper channels, and such handling is carried out in accordance with the rules laid out by the EU Regulations 2016/679 that ensure your personal data is protected.
6. Who may be involved in handling your data
Details provided by you may be handled by external recruitment companies or consultants who have been duly appointed as Data Controller by Salvatori for purposes strictly linked to carrying out and managing selection activities. Furthermore, Salvatori is obliged to communicate your data to the relevant judiciary authority whenever such a request is forwarded.
Your data may be shared with employees of Salvatori, in particular those belonging to the Human Resources department, the head of the department you would potentially be working in along with any other people involved in the selection process who are duly authorised by the Data Controller to process it in order to comply with internal procedures related to handling personal data of candidates and interns.
7. Data retention
We will retain your personal data in keeping with Article 32 of the Regulations and respecting the safety measures adopted by Salvatori to protect your details. It will only be shared with personnel involved in the selection process who have been duly authorised to view and process it.
Your CV details will be retained for no longer than 12 months and once that period has elapsed, Salvatori may retain your email address so that if a new position arose, you can be contacted and invited to send an updated CV.
8. Your rights
Articles 15-22 of the Regulations stipulate that you have the right to access your personal data, to request amendments and updates to it and to remove it if there are errors, if it is not complete or has been collected by unlawful means. You can also limit how your details are processed, withdraw your consent, make a complaint to a judicial authority and make a request to receive your data in a portable, structured, commonly-used and readable format by electronic means that can be forwarded to another data controller without impediment.

9. The requirement to allow us to process your details
Sharing your details is voluntary but we require them, not only to help in the selection process and potential drawing up of an employment contract, but also to comply with certain legal requirements. Missing details may mean that we are unable to carry out such activities.
