Marco Carini
He draws inspiration from the Mies van der Rohe motto “I don’t want to be interesting, I want to be good”
Marco Carini, born in 1968, graduated with a degree in interior design from l’Istituto di Arredamento e Architettura d’Interni (the Institute of Interior Décor and Architecture) in Cremona, Italy and commenced working as a freelance designer in the 1990s.
He draws inspiration from the Mies van der Rohe motto “I don’t want to be interesting, I want to be good”.
His passion for light and its various forms is the guiding force behind his quest to create a continuous dialogue between grace and balance, always containing a touch of irony and often a hint of playfulness.
His architectural design is steered by a relentless and passionate search for original, sustainable solutions, using natural materials which offer a sense of wellbeing and pleasurable living, without sacrificing the poetry and harmony of the spaces they occupy.
