Matteo
Matteo is a classic example of someone who has worked his way up through the company. He joined Salvatori as a teenager, starting out in the factory, before moving to a role in dispatch where he was responsible for overseeing the loading and unloading of products and managing the constant flow of transport operators who come through our gates every day.
His reliability and willingness to help wherever it was needed, together with a desire to learn and grow, didn’t go unnoticed. In 2017 he was asked to swap his work boots and hard hat for shirts and a computer, with a promotion to the role of production planning and quality control.
What do you like about your work and Salvatori?
Salvatori is a unique company. We not only work with beautiful products, but we are always innovating. We’re growing as a company and that means that I am also growing professionally. I enjoy my current role because I feel that I’m at the centre of a communications network, interacting with many colleagues and suppliers every day. I also appreciate having autonomy – it’s up to me to find solutions to make sure we keep to our deadlines, even when there are challenges.
